Day out options abound; perhaps you would like to see the beautiful Regency architecture of Cheltenham Spa or the market towns of Evesham or Tewkesbury? The truth is, this part of the Cotswolds is blessed with charming country towns and villages such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford, Chipping Campden, Broadway, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Water and everyone’s favourite, Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

For something a little different, and definitely muddy.. why not check out the dates for the local MUD RUN, definitely a date not to be missed by the more intrepid visitors to the Cotswolds..

It is only a 4 mile run /drive up the lanes from Alderton to the course. The Glow Run can be seen from the cottage as runners tackle the course under moonlight.
